Telehealth FAQs

What is Telehealth at Perry Psychiatry, LLC?

Telehealth is the delivery of psychiatric mental health assessment and medication management through the use of video.

Do I need to meet with my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in person first?

No, all appointments, including your initial 45-minute psychiatric intake assessment and all 15-minute follow-up appointments can be conducted via telehealth.

Is it confidential?

Yes, we use an official HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to conduct video appointments.

How do I access the video conferencing application?

Perry Psychiatry, LLC uses a free video conferencing service to conduct

appointments. Think of it similar to Facetime, only HIPAA compliant and very user-friendly.  Just prior to each telehealth visit, you will receive a link via e-mail or text for your appointment. You'll then be asked to allow access to your camera and microphone on your phone, tablet, or computer and that’s it!

Do I need to provide written consent to have my medications prescribed using Telehealth?

Yes, prior to taking advantage of telehealth, you will need to sign a consent form.

Is Telehealth for me?

Yes! As long as you are able to satisfy the above criteria, you can take advantage of telehealth medication visits now!
